Welder by trade, but seeking a more technical, customer-facing role?

 

WB Alloys is looking for someone with hands-on welding experience to step into a varied, customer-focused role supporting and demonstrating welding equipment, from trusted workshop machines to the latest cutting-edge technology.

 

This position blends practical welding knowledge with technical support and on-site demonstration work. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys working with equipment, solving problems, and staying ahead of industry developments, but wants something beyond day-to-day production welding.

 

What the role involves:

• Demonstrating welding and cutting equipment to customers

• Showcasing new technology and product launches

• Providing practical application advice and technical guidance

• Assisting with equipment setup, optimisation, and basic fault finding

• Supporting the sales team with technical expertise

• Attending site visits, open days, and industry events

• Maintaining demo equipment and ensuring machines are presentation-ready

• Keeping up to date with welding innovations and processes

 

What we’re looking for:

• Time-served welder (multi-process experience preferred)

• Strong understanding of welding equipment and settings

• Confident communicator who enjoys working with people

• Practical, hands-on problem solver

• Full UK driving licence
